Important to note is that there are no fuel stations in Jimna – no shops – no ATMs – no anything – just a wonderful, tiny historic village from the timber milling and gold mining days of early Australia.
However, on weekends, Jimna Base Camp opens the Caffeine Injection Kiosk, which stocks bagged firewood, 5kg ice, espresso coffee, cold drinks, ice creams and snacks. It is located directly beneath the ol’ school building adjacent to the main car park as you arrive.
There is also a small community operated museum that opens most days, located just a short walk from Base Camp.
