Being the former Jimna State School, the campgrounds are situated on the 2.5-acre ol’ school sports oval, with tall shady trees on both the eastern and western boundaries.  There’s even a cricket pitch in the middle!

There are no marked-out designated camping spots, nor concrete slabs for vans. Guests can select any spot and set up their camp.

Note: there are no powered sites or water in the campground.

Camping fees include hot showers.  The water on-site is from the town water supply and is suitable for drinking. Jimna’s town water is sourced from a spring-fed waterhole locally known as the “Big Hole” and is only a short walk or drive from Jimna Base Camp.

Numerous, small, mobile fire pits are available around the perimeter of the oval.  Guests can use these free of charge.  Once you’ve set up your camp, just drag a fire pit over, set up your tent, table and chairs, light the fire and sit back and relax!

Please note… ground fires are not permitted.  All campfires must be off the ground and in a contained fire pit.  Either bring-your-own pit or use one of ours. Also be aware that campfires must not be left unattended.  Please think about “safety” as we are situated amongst the Jimna State Forest and Conondale National Park.  The last thing we all need is the possibility of bushfires.

Jimna Base Camp has a designated campground on the old sports oval, just a short walk from reception/kiosk.
The on-site kiosk stocks bagged firewood, ice, espresso coffee, cold drinks, ice creams snacks etc.
We stock a range of Jimna Base Camp T-shirts in different colours, coffee mugs and stubbies coolers, which are also available for purchase.

The facilities for our camping guests include:

• A 2.5-acre, flat level oval with a cricket pitch and small fire pits for use – BYO firewood or purchase firewood at the coffee van/reception.
• Pet Friendly campgrounds (conditions apply).
• Hot showers, flush toilets and hand wash in the amenity blocks.
• Use of the multi-purpose court with tennis/basketball gear available.
• Use of the children’s playground and sandpit with toys.
• Shared use of the undercover, common area, for all staying guests beneath the Event’s Building, with gas BBQs, fridges, town water, power-points, tables and chairs.
